Pool-Delight: A Website Relaunch in One Day

Joelyn Ruch and I built the first production relaunch of Pool-Delight in one day. She brought the market, offer, and customer perspective. I translated that direction into content, prompts, product decisions, code, and a working sales channel.

An outdated website was holding sales back

The previous website had become technically and visually obsolete, difficult to maintain, and weak as a search and sales channel. Its content, product presentation, and contact path no longer matched how Joelyn plans and sells pool projects today.

Joelyn knew the audience, the offer, and the questions that come up in real sales conversations. Her knowledge became the foundation for the new website.

Working together on the live product

We sat next to each other and worked on the running product. Joelyn explained intent, objections, and priorities. I translated what I heard into information architecture, copy, user journeys, prompts, and technical decisions. Each change became visible at once and fed the next conversation.

I used Codex for research, drafts, implementation, and verification. I remained responsible for requirements, architecture, claims, and the released product. Working side by side kept decisions and implementation close together.

The first production version in one day

By the end of the day, Pool-Delight had a production Next.js website with a clear offer, product catalogue, anonymous price check, and qualified contact path. I configured the Vercel deployment, moved the domains and redirects, and connected the form to transactional email delivery.

The launch included technical search optimisation, structured analytics, and an agent-assisted repository workflow for developing content from search signals. Joelyn’s domain knowledge remains the source for every product and content decision.

Product development after launch

Since the relaunch, we have used analytics and search signals to improve content and product explanations. The findings feed into new content, clearer entry points, and product decisions.

The first sprint also produced a prototype pool configurator. Joelyn and I are testing its product rules while I develop the visualisation with Three.js.
